Catching up - Inventory Complete

The big box of skins.
So this showed up back in December as my Christmas present to myself.  Since then, I've been slowly turning my tiny one car garage into a usable work area.   That is an ongoing process, as I have the accumulated mass of years of R/C airplanes, kits, and other hobbies that still need to be dealt with.  It looks like my den is going to become a storage unit for the next few years. In theory I'll be able to build right up to the point of installing the wings and engine with the space I have available.  We'll see.

In the time between then and now I have acquired the majority of the tools I'm going to need.  This was quite an investment considering my tool box consisted of only the basic household survival tools.  I decided to go with the RV toolkit from Isham, I also picked up a drill press that I already dislike, a bench grinder, a compressor, a much bigger tool box and a few miscellaneous clamps, hand tools, etc.  I'm sure there will be additions but so far I've been able to build both of the Van's practice kits with what I have on hand.

I already wish I had started in January since it was warm in the garage while  doing the inventory this evening but work and life have a way of interfering.  A portable A/C is going to be high on the list of things to get before long.  Everything is accounted for which means I no longer have an excuse to procrastinate.  Tomorrow I'll begin the horizontal stabilizer.

The last time my bench will be this tidy.
